The Radio Society

The Radio Society meet every Tuesday (constructors group) and Thursday at 7:00pm in the Radio Shack.

We are a small club of around 20 members, throughout the year we activate quite a few Special Event Stations.

Many of them outdoor events which are very popular.

Not all activity takes place in the Shack.

The club has also taken part in field days and Raynet exercises.

The club runs Novice and Morse classes.

Feel free to come along and join in.

At these meetings members discuss their latest project and band conditions & everything under the Sun!

Every year the club uses the Special Event Callsign GB6CG in Thinking Day On The Air with Chequerfield Guides.

From time to time, other Special Event Callsigns are used.

The club occasionally takes part in contests such as the WAB Top Band Contest.
